More about how we can work together

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I offer telehealth throughout Illinois.

My physical office is in Keller Station at 6035 N Knoxville, Suite 204H, in Peoria, Il.

I’m in the same building as The Noshery and CxT Coffee, on the 2nd floor.

  • Yes, I currently see clients in my office on Mondays and Thursdays only.

  • You can meet me from anywhere in IL with a stable internet connection. I use HIPAA compliant Zoom for video sessions. My clients and I have found online therapy to be of great benefit, to address issues in the environment where they occur and to overcome barriers to treatment.

  • We will discuss what you are struggling with and whether it’s something I have the skill set to help. You may ask me questions and start to get a sense from your perspective if I’m going to be a good fit for you. We’ll talk about the approaches I use and what it’s like to work with me.

If I’m not going to be the best therapist for you, I will try to point you towards someone who might be. If we both think I will be a good fit, we will get started and get to work as a team.

  • It depends on what you’re struggling with, how severe your symptoms are, and what you are hoping for. I do want you to know I am not the kind of therapist who keeps people in therapy forever. My goal is for you to become your own therapist, and to get better as quickly as possible.

This is why we monitor your progress week by week. If what we are doing is not helping you get better, I try to make adjustments, and we should see progress sooner rather than later. If I still can’t help, I want to notice that right away, talk honestly about it, and try to get you to someone who can help better.

Some people who do get better quickly choose to stay in therapy to maintain their progress, and we usually spread out sessions and meet less frequently as time goes on.

  • I am In Network with these insurance companies and am happy to submit claims for services:

Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and some other plans (but not Community Plans)

    United Healthcare

    Aetna

    Oscar Health

    Oxford

    Health Alliance

    Cigna

    Caterpillar PPO

Ultimately, it is your responsibility to check your benefits and be responsible for copays, coinsurance, or services not covered.

  • Initial assessment- $225

A longer session to allow you time to tell your story at your pace. We will start to get to know one another. I’ll complete a thorough biopsychosocial assessment, and we can look at the big picture of what factors might be contributing to your struggles and start planning your ways to get better.

    Hour sessions- $180

We collaboratively set an agenda and use our time exploring your perspectives, actively doing interventions, and processing the learning and change that occurs. At the start of treatment, if you are doing ERP, sometimes twice weekly sessions will be more beneficial. We can decide frequency and duration of sessions together, depending on your needs.

    45 minute sessions- $135

We focus on maintaining your progress and preventing and addressing any return of symptoms. We often choose to decrease frequency and duration of sessions as you utilize your skills, strengths, and strategies, effectively becoming your own therapist.

    30 minute check-in sessions- $90

You are actively using your skills and maintaining your progress! Some people benefit from short maintenance sessions, where we can still measure your outcomes, target any difficulties, and keep you in shape for handling what life throws at you.

What if you could resolve the doubts?
